History of Schott Bros. NYC: Started in 1913, Irving Schott designed and produced the first motorcycle jacket, the “Perfecto” sold at the Long Island Harley Davidson distributor. During WWII, Schott produced a “bomber jacket” for our servicemen as well as a melton wool naval pea coat. In the 70s and 80s, Schott became synonymous with the punk rock movement. The Schott “Perfecto” was the uniform for rock stars like The Ramones, Joan Jett, and The Sex Pistols.
