Schiaparelli vintage long mink fur coat circa 1950s

While Schiaparelli was known for mixing materials in winter coats - notably mink collars with Persian lamb wool shells- it’s rare to come across a full mink coat from the famed Parisian house. This glamorous full mink trench features a standing collar, sweeping & dramatic, it’s crafted from lustrous & glossy long-haired mink. The body - luxurious sheared mink which feels/ looks like velvet. Soft to the touch with tones shifting from dark mocha to burnt umber. Also has spacious slit pockets, silk lining bearing yardage of Schiaparelli monogram & 3 hook-and-eye closures, that can transform thie silhouette of this jacket. From cocooned & snug to glam vamp or more relaxed & undone (as seen in last shot, layered with Schiaparelli dress also listed). Whatever the fit, this archival mink coat is really a testament to Schiaparelli’s mid century craftsmanship. Size: M (estimate no tags - not uncommon for custom-ordered outerwear back then). Bespoke embroidered initials likely belonged to previous owner, a mid century custom signally exclusivity. Measurement estimates (when coat is closed) Bust - 35.5” Waist - 36” Length - 40” In very good vintage condition.. Expectant light wear consistent with an archival piece over half a century old, Minor restoration to repair hem of interior lining. May have loose thread.
