Vintage Schafer & Vater Style Smoker Ash Pot - a humorous ugly/angry faced man with bald head - figural long faced with wide open mouth to hold your cigarette or cigar and allow the smoke to drift up through the top holes. This piece appears to be early/mid 20th century - it is numbered and hallmarked on the base (see pics) and I believe it is by Ardalt made in Japan but missing the paper label. Appears to be hand painted and done in nice detail. In overall excellent vintage condition - minor shelf wear - no damage or flaws of note - a nice find!
