Sascha Brastoff Peacock Design dish 1960’s Ceramic Ashtray California pottery

Large Peacock square dish by designer Sascha Brastoff or Sasha B as he is called. It is signed Sasha B in gold. It features a colorful and stunning hand painted peacock design. Peacock colors include purple, white, avocado green, black, gray, and turquoise. In addition, there are gold accents including curved feathers and small indented circles that are painted gold providing a gorgeous contrast and reflection. They resemble rhinestones. I believe this was possibly intended to be a large ashtray due to the way the ends are designed, but could be used for so many different things or simply displayed. It measures approx. 8" x 8" and appears to never have been used and is in excellent condition. Please zoom in on photos for detail as pictures are part of the description.
