Santa Mail is a “Christmas on Hellam” (like it on the book of faces please) program that started because of Covid. I was still blessed to get a paycheck during the pandemic but many of my neighbors weren’t as lucky. I wanted to give back- so I bought a mailbox.
“Letters to Santa” was placed at the corner of my lot. I advertised it on our group page and told every kid I saw to put a letter in. The parents loved it because they couldn’t get those Santa picture at the mall- but they could put a letter in a mailbox.
What they didn’t know was that Ms Claus responded. Every letter got a handwritten response from her- and then she shopped! Her Amazon, UPS, FedEx, and USPS reindeer started arriving. Her elf friends came over and did a “Wine and Wrap” party.
About a week before Christmas Santa and Ms Claus were seen roaming the neighborhood with gift bags full of goodies. Every Santa wish was filled as we went door to door. Parents got gift cards to grocery stores for their entire Christmas meal, and kids got Santa.
Santa Mail is now going 6 years strong! The pandemic is over- but Ms Claus never quit. The delivery area has extended from the development to now 3 towns. So- if I’m shopping your closet- know that you are a part of “Santa Mail”. Ms Claus has everything she personally needs.
