Sankyo Music Box Kids Under Umbrella Porcelain Hand Painted Hummel Style

Hummels from Germany were very popular collectibles and still are, so Japan joined the party and made knock-offs that are just as collectible. This is a music box made in Japan, by Sankyo, featuring a retelling of the Hummel figurine Kids Under Umbrella. This piece is also hand painted and plays the tune "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head". There is a maker's mark on the bottom of the plastic base that reads, "Sankyo Japan", see last photo.
