Sandy Designs Shell Shield Necklace

Bold and unique, this handcrafted necklace joins an oversized look with Lagen Style textures and colors. Mother of pearl (MOP) shines in the light, mostly quiet but with flashes of opal blue. Paired with a round woven cloth rope chain, this is lightweight yet has a big visual impact. Can be removed from the chain easily, to use as a scarf clip or other. True Vintage, with appropriate patina including a small chip at the base of the bottom tip. Carries a light scent with it, perfume of some sort, a bit old-fashioned, but only if you stick your nose up next to it like I do. Hand crafted in California by Sandy Designs years ago. Her work is collected by a fairly obsessed group of folks out there. I don’t know enough about her to say much, but I do know that each piece is one of a kind OOAK and, in my experience, truly lovely. Stored in a smoke free home, will be sent with care.
