Dynamic design with black and blue tones. Perfect for trail running. Durable and stylish. This is a comfortable hiking shoe, but it does run a little big. I ordered my usual size and wore wool socks, and still had plenty of room in the toebox. If you prefer a more snug fit then I would suggest sizing down half a size. But, if you enjoy having lots of room, then stick with your usual size. The Salomon X Ultra 3 has a welded upper that’s stitch-free. You won’t feel the upper poking or rubbing against your feet. You’ll also appreciate how breathable it is. I could feel the breeze through my shoes even while I was wearing wool socks. This shoe features an OrthoLite® sockliner, which gives you that right out-of-the-box comfort. Typically, I prepare myself for a couple of weeks of pain while I break in a hiking shoe, but that wasn’t the case with these shoes. I credit much of this comfort to the sockliner.
