Salem China Godey Ladies Print Plate

Imperial Salem China produced the Godey Ladies print service plates in the 1950’s. These Victorian fashion prints were published in Godey’s Magazine and Lady’s Book from 1830 to 1898. The book was edited for much of that time by Sarah Joseph’s Hale, author of Mary had a Little Lamb. The “service” plates (chargers) contain 23 karst gold leaf in their design. The rims came in different colors, this plate is light green and gold. The diameter is 10 7/8”. This plate was owned by my Mother-in-Law and never used, only displayed. The plate is in like new condition. A great addition for a collector.
