twirlingpug@a1ycia hey...wow, what a sweet sphynx beauty...i am sorry about his heart condition...i have 5 (!!) cats now (the hairy kind!!) and i worked at a vet clinic for 8 years, but left that job a year ago and the rude awakening of NON-discount vet care has really sucked!!!....so...i hear ya. that is why i'm digging out my buried treasures and putting them up for sale...kitty litter (and a very expensive kitty dental procedure) starts to add up...(plus 2 dogs and a horse!!)

a1ycia@lubelle_posh thank you! That makes me so sad to hear It’s seriously the worst disease; I’ve had 3 with it. Smeagol is my only one living now; he lost his blood sister in July from it and it was terrible. I’m praying I get many more years with Smeagol though.

a1ycia@lana_del_taco 18 year old?! Wow! I ended up getting Smeagol into a drug trial for his HCM. So we’ve been flying out to UC Davis every 2 months! Hopefully it works so it can help future cats!

lana_del_taco@a1ycia yup! Iggy is old LOL. He has four teeth in his face and they are all black. Both Iggy and Boaz are actually rescues. And now I’m on a waiting list for a baby girl. I’m so glad that you got into that trial! How is it going? What are they doing? Iggy has both HCM and high blood pressure.
