@nikafuzz1986 I’m not sure what you are asking. This piece is .925 sterling silver there is no rhodium plating or any other plating over the .925 sterling silver , or any other metal with a sterling silver plating or listing would state that. 925 sterling is 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metal typically copper. Solid or pure silver is .999 or higher and typically not used for jewelry because to soft and not durable for jewelry. Hope I answered the question 😃

@shopsonnu 🌟my question is in regards to the silver. Specifically if the silver is a surface layer ontop of a different metal. Many Jewelers will apply the Sterling ontop of stainless steel or metal alloy. This saves in production costs. I understand the ring has 925 silver. My question is if it is 925 silver the only metal component of the ring. Is it Sterling Silver Throughout the entirety of the design (solid)? Or a surface coating on top of another metal (plated)?

@nikafuzz1986 so then answer is same as my above answer. it is not sterling plating over any other metal or a plating over Sterling it is stated as .925 sterling from manufacturer so yes, it’s the whole piece

@shopsonnu 🌟okay. Thanks for answering my question. If a listing doesn’t specify either ‘solid’ or ‘plated’ sterling silver, I usually ask. I have purchased items in the past that are listed simply as Sterling Silver. Assuming that they were 100%. The items that are plated will eventually discolor your skin. You can also tell by holding a strong magnet to the jewelry. Sterling is not magnetic. If the item moves in the presence of a magnet, it’s not 100% Sterling.
