Sabah loafers purple M40

These beautiful purple sabahs have barely been worn. No flaws noted. Labeled size M40 which I think is men’s? I’m a women’s 8-8.5 and they are big for me (but I’ve still worn them a couple of times.) Think maybe the me’s designation means they’re a little wider than women’s? Not sure - please see company’s size chart.
