What a spectacular hat from the 1960s'! This hat is made of stiff straw created into a TAM shape, and bent at the front . The edges of the hat are covered in a band of sequins and beads. A straw band crosses the front of the hat and is covered in the same band of sequins and beads. The top of the hat is sprinkled with beads and rhinestones around the front. What a uniquely stunning look! A tam, short for Tam O’ Shanter, is a soft, voluminous round hat, usually with a round seam that joins the flat crown to the sides. Tams often have a band around the bottom that gathers in the voluminous crown and secures the hat to the head of its wearer. Label: NEW YORK MODEL This is an authentic piece of fashion history!
