If I hadn’t gained as much weight as I have, there would be no way I’d give up this coat! It’s the heaviest and most weatherproof winter coat I’ve ever had. Close to five pounds, there’s a waterproof layer inside the wool and THREE layers of enclosures in the front, guaranteeing no wind gets through. And the hood is my favorite! There’s a thick waterproof initial layer with a wired edge that allows it to conform to any head shape and be tightened AND not slip off during high winds or snow/rain storms. The outer layer is a heavy cotton twill - it can be used in combination with the waterproof layer OR the waterproof layer can be tucked inside the coat and only the twill hood used. So many combinations! Two front pockets have two options for closure - zip or snap (see last two pics). Zip breast pocket as well. 84%. No internal pockets.
