I actually lost Tillie to cancer about a month ago😢She was only 10.. she had a host of health issues for years, but the cancer surprised us, it was so quick. We are actually in the process of adopting a 9 year old Shih Tzu. I just can't be without one. We miss Tillie so much. Give your little man a smooch from me💋Lisa

totopuff @tillie214 You are absolutely breaking my heart. I lost my last one, cocoa, to cancer of the salivary gland, she was 17. I decided I would never be without a ShihTzu so I went and rescued Toto about six weeks before Coco passed. Would you believe his name was Coco so I had to change it? Then, the day that I got him was the anniversary of my father's passing.

totopuff @tillie214 His owne was struck by a car and killed and the dogs were left abandoned in the house for two days. My guy friend Bob took his sibling which was not a ShihTzu. When I got Toto's papers from the lady's children, he was born on my mothers birthday! I'm totally crazy about him and I'm trying to rescue another! tillie214 @totopuff Oh my, He was meant to be yours. I believe things happen for a reason.😇 We said we were going to wait a bit, but when I saw her face, I had a feeling she was meant to be with us. It's kinda scary she looks like Tillie. We are now waiting for the home inspection. It's a big process to adopt😊 as you know. Your lucky you had your first one for so long. It's just SO terrible when they pass🌈 but I guess it's part of life. It was so nice to meet you and 🐶.

tillie214 @amanda_clc Awwww, thank you SO much🌈 Tillie had SO many health issues, auto immune disease, too many to tell you. We were very grateful that she lived as long as she did. She went blind at 8 years old and was depressed, so I HAD to have cataract surgery. I'm sorry to hear that your went blind,😢It's no fun getting older, humans and animals. The last 2 pictures are "Dolly" our new rescue Shih Tzu... they look a lot alike....

sofisticata @tillie214 he whines, and think cries, it was heard, I think he is getting a bit used to... I don't want him to suffer, but I don't want him to go! 😭 I had a huge scare a few months ago, I actually think he was passing, but my friend and I were praying and he came back, so I'm just enjoying him even more, I'm more conscious, holding him more, he is so pampered-spoiled, but we love him 😊💙🐶 I'm glad I came across, thank you 💕😊... and glad you have another one 🐶😍

jkdesigns Awww, we just lost our pup “Black Star.” He had an accident and ruptured a disc so badly in his back he was paralyzed and unable to potty. Just six months prior, “Ziggy” our other Shih-Tzu, died of old age. He was nearly 16! Our 12-year-old son is obviously crushed! Black Star was all black like your pet.

myzturee Sweet Tillie! Bless her little adorable soul. I have her cousin (if she's a shih tzu mix like I'm guessing). He was a previous neglect and abuse rescue adoptee from a hoarder; and suffered/suffers from mental/emotional trauma, as well as, dental issues, chronic pancreatitis, muscular atrophy, and a distorted gait (from confinement).
