This is the perfect prom dress for so many reasons! I only got the chance to wear it once, but it is lightweight, has a corset back and minimal alterations to fit multiple body types, and even built-in shorts!! It is also super light to wear all night long, is fairly long as I am 5’9”, and it is overall such a stunning piece as it is not too poofy but still gives the ballgown effect!

Can you detail out the alterations a bit more... I'm intrigued by the shorts underneath... is that for modesty, or to accommodate pockets? Thank you🥰

@jen4vateck the alterations were to take up the straps about one inch as well as to pin the fabric underneath. The shorts are built-in because there was an option to remove the pink fabric on the bottom and have only the sheer top layer over your legs. I did not want to wear the dress this way and had the underneath layer lightly sewn in place, but I’m sure that could be removed and it could be buttoned in (like it was originally) or taken out to show off legs/shorts!

@an0882 It is sheer but the solid piece is clipped in underneath in the images provided. A small stitch was placed during alterations that is currently holding this in; however, if you take the stitch out, the solid piece of fabric unclips from underneath the dress, making the shorts visible.
