Vintage from the 1960s. This is a rare group of unused 6" flexible, plastic STP rulers with Parnelli Jones #40 car on it. Promo piece from the STP Motor Oil company. Excellent condition. Sale is for all five rulers. (Several more available, ask if interested.) Dimensions= 6-3/16” x 2” A LITTLE PIECE OF AUTO RACING HISTORY: STP was founded in 1953 and the company’s name was derived from the term “Scientifically Treated Petroleum.” In 1961 Andy Granatelli became both CEO and the public face of STP, often wearing a white suit emblazoned with the red oval “STP” logo to races, distributing thousands of all-weather STP stickers. In just a few years, his persona and skills elevated the company to a multimillion status. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STP_(motor_oil_company) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXMGAnyYoog Advertising, Promotion
