shereebruner @yourmakeupfairy Most of the time I do, not always at first… I become a civil rights activist’s young advocate in the 8th grade and was so surprised to discover the prejudice at my private Catholic school when I made my presentation in Religion Class on the subject of Racism in America. Couldn’t respect myself otherwise ‼️

And you know of course, that prejudice, resulting from feelings of superiority, exists in many facets of life, gender bias,, politics, class/social judgements, to name A few. We all realize that life is not fair, but to be willing to simply exist without conscience Orr caring about what matters, isn’t the way.

splendour76 @shereebruner I didn't mean YOU as in yourself love. I meant like "you" as in us as a society. I grew up on military bases, we had all sorts of multiracial couples and multiracial children. I'm Irish and Black myself, but I never saw that. I only saw people. I was about 12 when we had gone to Virginia to visit my dad's family; my grandaddy was driving to a store with my elder brother and me; he was pulled over for having a lead foot basically.

splendour76 @shereebruner Well, this young police officer, about 30 or so, called my 78-year-old granddaddy "boy." I was shocked. My granddaddy didn't even flinch. As far as I can remember that was my first incident with racism. It still makes me sad to this day.
