SPLENDID 1960s' DESIGNER EMERALD GREEN TAM & GROSGRAIN HAT

What a beautiful hat in the style of a tam! The hat is a design by VINCENT DE KOVEN, and is made of bands of emerald green felt and grosgrain. There is a wide felt band that serves as an opening for the head. There is a bow at the front. The flexible top off the hat is made of bands of felt and grosgrain. Simply stunning! A tam, short for Tam O’ Shanter, is a soft, voluminous round hat, usually with a round seam that joins the flat crown to the sides. Tams often have a band around the bottom that gathers in the voluminous crown and secures the hat to the head of its wearer.
