SPACE: 1999 Signed 8x10 Photo / CATHERINE SCHELL As ‘Maya’ / “Doctor Who”, “007”

Hungarian-born Catherine Schell is descended from royalty (King Louis XIV, among others). Her family fled Hungary to avoid the Communist takeover in the 1950’s, moving to the United States then Austria. Her first film was “Lana, Queen of the Amazons” in 1964. Better roles followed including being s ‘Bond girl’ in “On Her Majesty's Secret Service” (1969), “The Return of the Pink Panther” (1975), “Doctor Who: City of Death” (1979), and the role she is best known for, ‘Maya’ on the second season of the cult science fiction show “Space: 1999” (1976-1977). Catherine signed this great 8x10 photo in silver paint pen. The photo is in excellent condition except for a light bend in the upper right corner (see photo).
