Victory at Sea Volume I. Music by Richard Rogers. Arranged and conducted by Robert Russell Bennett with the RCA Victor Symphony Orchestra. This is an orchestral suite from the score for the early 50's NBC television production of the same name. Actually, Bennett contributed original music to the project beyond the 13 themes Rogers provided but Rodgers gets the composer credit nevertheless. This is the 1959 second recording of the score, which expanded to three volumes issued by RCA Victor. Lewis Layton was the recording engineer. He also gets that credit on many of RCA Victor's "Living Stereo" recordings from the 50's and 60's.
