European size 40, men or women. However, I felt they ran a little big for me (usually an 8.5 or 9 in boots to allow for heavy socks). Broke my leg last year, could not return in time.โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Hi just trying to confirm sizing on these seems to many different opinions. Do these fit like a size 8.5 or smaller?

@smitty275 I feel they run large. I got a size to wear w heavier socks, and they still felt big to me - I can measure in inches what they are. BC ordinarily I'd do a 40 in socks, while my other shoes are 39. And I have NO idea how PM figures their sizing. I'd be totally willing to take them back if they didn't work. I love the adj calf, mine are large, that's why I got them (besides they're awesome).
