bittysweens @iloveallclothes It's a zipper closure. The strings are more of a decorative feature. It fits perfectly for between 11 and 13, so you'd be perfect :)

bittysweens @lizray yes. It's around 36 inches in length. I was also mistaken before in earlier comments when I said the strings were just for decoration. I just tried to pull them tighter and you can. So it has a zipper closure but can be adjusted with the drawstrings a bit as well.
