yourcarrier @lupsbe unstretched means the measurement with it just laid flat on the floor or a table and stretched means while holding it with your left hand and the tip of the tape measure stretching it as much as possible with your right hand and seeing what the max stretch is. We're trying to see what's the largest hip size that it will accommodate. Thank you
