zev4u_lexx_luvr @stelladotcyndy U could do a small amount under the back of your hair. That is how I experiment or I tried my bangs when I had them. LOL U must get your hair de-colorized to a super pale light yellow bonds for this color to show up like this.

zev4u_lexx_luvr @stelladotcyndy Yeah, it is less damaging if U de-colorize your hair slowly in 2 or 3? steps w/2 weeks waiting periods in between each. Otherwise fine hair (like mine will break!)

I had black underneath my bangs & under the back & the rest was always platinum. I mixed a bunch of colors together & got a silver/mauve...that was interesting. I have blue but did not use it by itself yet. I want to try a little bit of that on the ends maybe.

zev4u_lexx_luvr @autumnponsar Oh, Yes! I used to use Wella for 10 years...called White Lady Toner then but it faded fast on me. Nice white color for a week & I don't use abusive shampoo. I am using this type of hair dye because I don't need to use any developer. My hair is super fine & can't take all the constant timing w/developer. This is my alternative. I like Directions Silver, too.

reannamac33 @zev4u_lexx_luvr yeah wells is good I would have to c the product label to give u good advice and shampoos r not that great they help the color last a bit ( not much for the $)once it's in but if your trying to get the brass out a good toner works you mix them with a 10 vol Demi developer and usually that does the trick .. Next time I'm at the supply store probably wed I'll pick u up a box and u can try it on the house next time u do your hair and if you like it we can set u up.

I never heard about the real red-head issue with dyes. I can tell you that it takes a lot of upkeep to keep my blonde hair looking bright.

singaporejones Oh, and when I was strawberry blonde, KMS shampoo for blondes worked great for keeping the brass out. It's about $16 a bottle, but it lasts forever since it takes so little shampoo, and I have thick hair.

singaporejones Final add 😁 If you don't use Armour Beauty lip glosses, I think you might love them. You can build the color from tint to saturated. They have an orange called Lucy (after Lucille Ball) that is the only orange I've ever found flattering on me. They also have a Purple Rain that I wear all the time. They're a little bit sticky, but that fades out some after application.

singaporejones It's just KMS. ☺ KMS Color Vitality for blondes (comes in a purple bottle). I just looked online, and it's $24 or more there, but I think Randi, my stylist, gives me a cut since I get it from her. It's a color protecting shampoo as well as anti-brass. I used to wash my hair almost every day when it was short, and the overall blonde and strawberry accents lasted a LONG time, and my natural color is very dark brown.

singaporejones I think one bottle lasted me 2-3 months even with regular use. But I swear by KMS and Aveda because they're gentle, take so little product, and do what they say they do. Aveda styling products are sometimes meh, but they also have some awesome ones. Their rosemary mint shampoo smells AMAZING.

I'm super picky about my hair, but I wouldn't have any problem plopping into either of their chairs and saying, "Just do whatever you like." 😁 And that's about as rare for me as a polar bear in Tahiti.

singaporejones And just to say it, I'm far from rolling in dough 😜 but still use the KMS and Aveda 'cuz they pay for themselves over time. No, I don't sell them or anything 😁 so I really just like 'em that much. I would try to save some $ by doing my own color, but I'm enough if an artist myself (I hope) to know I would suck at it, and my hair is so dark, I know I'd just end up damaging it and end up buying something else to try to fix it!

I'm the only person that's done my hair besides my dad that I can remember and he's an old drunk so nobody does my hair now. I had my personality chart done & found out that many true animal lovers have a highly developed creative side to them. Then when I thought about all of my designer friends, hairdressers, artists etc.....they all have super special bonds with their pets!

zev4u_lexx_luvr @reinem I am fine. Thanks for asking! My Dad has been having pain issues he is still trying to deal with finding what helps. They think it is a combo of Lyme Disease & Arthritis. He is now trying a med. that works on the nerves instead of traditional pain killers. He is awaiting the results of a spine x-ray.
