As you can read in the pictures above, a person posing as “Michelle Wyatt” (99% sure that’s not their name), tried to pry personal information out of me. So I just wanted to remind everybody, and especially people new to this app, that they’re are plenty of scammers pretending to be interested customers. They intend to retrieve personal information about you in hopes of stealing money and/or threatening you. Please NEVER ever share personal information with anyone on here and especially off the Poshmark app. Poshmark cannot assist you if the transaction is done off the app. If someone requests to move off Poshmark, kindly remind them that they can complete the purchase on the app and you will not complete any offer otherwise. Many others have shared similar experiences, so be wary please!

nancceeyy Other red flags: 🚩 They offer to give you extra money for you to “hold” the item for them 🚩 They ask for personal information 🚩 They use an excuse (work, wedding, etc.) to get express shipping 🚩 Plenty of grammatical errores and weird spacing, as they tend to use a copy and paste script 🚩 Their account was made very recently (like less than a day)

nancceeyy It goes without saying this doesn’t mean someone is trying to scam you because they typed a couple words wrong, but seeing multiple of these flags can be an indicator that the persons intentions are not good.
