Photo stolen off of another Platform, begins with M ends with I. Please see photos to locate the actual bag.
Sadly there’s a huge influx of scammers. Here’s a handy guide on how to spot them. Comment below if you have any tips as well.
1. USERNAME
Yes, some Poshers names don’t make sense. Lately I’ve seen some gibberish names with numbers. I’ve seen scam accounts with male names and a closet full of women’s bags. Yes, I know men can sell women’s items. And yes, the name can be a woman’s as well.
2. NAME & PROFILE PIC
I’ve seen posts of a man’s name and profile photo of a celebrity/influencer, usually female. Or it’s a stolen photo of the item they’re listing.
3. RECENT ACCOUNT CREATED
When did they make their account? Was it in recent months?
4. LOVE NOTES/REVIEWS
Scam accounts won’t have any love notes.

@emr78 You’re welcome! I got scammed two months ago. I was successfully able to get my money back. I’m just so tired of seeing all these scams flooding Posh.

Hi, I’ve been seeing lots of accounts lately w/gibberish names…bunch of letters/numbers that don’t make sense. So are those all scammers? I thought maybe they were worried about privacy. I’ve been selling on Poshmark for almost 10 years and fortunately was only scammed once. I usually avoid expensive items for that reason. Thanks for putting up this info.

@diamondmnm Yes, most likely. I thought the same as well, but there’s so much scam listings that its easy to spot now. Usually its a newly created account, low quality profile pic of a young white girl, few items, low quality photos in the listings - unless it’s LV or other luxury goods.

@diamondmnm For a scammer selling these Disney, Unicorn Dooney, the verbiage tends to be very different in the listings. Some say Doggie Friendly Home, others say Pet Free Home. Also look closely at the hands holding the item. I saw a closet that had very different hands, young, old, different race. I highly doubt that one closet was managed by a multi-racial family, especially with a profile pic of what looks like a young Russian girl.

@greentastic thank you for the tips! Those are all good ideas of things to pay attention to that I never thought about:)
