newyorker_style @steph77alejan Hi chanel costume jewelry is not made of real gold. It is typically made from base metals and then plated with gold color or other finishes. The "gold" you see is a layer of gold-toned metal, not solid gold. Chanel's fine jewelry pieces, however, are made with real gold and sometimes platinum. Only Chanel Fine Jewelry and High Jewelry lines are made of real gold, and the prices are much higher🙂
