Stunning vintage Navajo double strand heichi necklace. Adorned with time worn pieces of orange and black coral, spiny oyster, sodalite, red abalone, conch, and more! Large carved mother of pearl in the shape if an eagle hangs from center if necklace (measures 2" x 1.5"). Each shell, each heishi is hand strung. This necklace is from the 1970s. It is in breathtakingly beautiful condition for its age. Old string clasp is torn, so silver clasp easily hooks to necklace itself to wear securely doubled over.
