roxyelling This model is NOT sold by Samsung !! SM-S908U1 (US openline) - Snapdragon (locked) and is unlockable I purchased mine by Samsung ....it's model number is Sm-S908U which is unlockable but comes unlocked from Manufacturer when purchased thru them fair waring to buyers !!

christiromer @roxyelling This isn't factual. Sm-s908u is the carrier model and Sm-s908u1 IS the unlocked model from Samsung. At&t seems to be the only carrier with issues with the Samsung unlocked model Sm-s908u1 because it will not work on firstnet, so you have to have the carrier model if you have At&t.

christiromer @roxyelling Unlocked Bootloader and Root has nothing to do with official firmware. You cannot flash an unlocked firmware and expect for the bootloader to unlock. Models end with U and U1 in US/Canada are permanently locked. Some of the International models are unlockable. SM-S908B (Europe) - Exynos (unlockable) SM-S908E and /DS (Asia/Africa) - Snapdragon (unlockable) SM-S908U (US carriers) - Snapdragon (locked, except T-mobile unlock by request) SM-S908U1 (US openline) - Snapdragon (locked)

christiromer @roxyelling Also, Samsung unlocked refers to being carrier unlocked NOT firmware unlocked.
