Iconic "Cougar Bag" purse with curb chain strap from Ruth Saltz, circa 1970s. Gray leather body with gold-tone hardware. Hinged-frame top closure, pulled open with cougar head ornament on front and pull pin on back. Burgundy signature fabric lining. Heavy curb chainlink strap has flat chiseled sides that reflect light for brilliant shine. Strap can be worn single over shoulder or doubled on elbow as handbag. Great vintage condition. Leather recently cleaned and conditioned. Clean lining. Some rubbing on cougar head, and light wear on leather. No cracking or stains.
