This is a rustic set of short stays, with tabs below the pointed waist. They look handmade and are a bit worn (wrinkles and soil), but are very sturdy and functional. This would be a great starter set if you want to try out stays! For historic costuming, these would be appropriate for an 18th or early 19th century (1700s-1800s) working-class impression. Photo shows the garment dimensions. Note that these will not be supportive if your measurements are less than the dimensions. Stays are shown laced onto a mannequin with waist about 30" and bust 38". So this would fit best on a person with waist 27"-32" and bust 30-38". Larger body measurements will result in a larger lacing gap. Vertical measurements are given from top edge to bottom of boned part (not including the tabs, which are about 1.75" long). The stays are boned with what feel like flat (spring) steel bones. Two are missing as shown -- these could easily be replaced. Feel free to ask a question!
