Rust Pinafore/Coverall Jumpsuit

Supercute pinafore jumpsuit. Wideleg, slightly cropped pants. Plunging neckline. Functional tortoiseshell-look buttons. Surprisingly comfy. I want to call the fabric a gauzy cotton, but it's not sheer or ethereal. It has a nice weight & natural texture. Bought secondhand online, and didn't notice it had a tear/hole just to the side of the fly. I let it sit around on a hanger for two months, feeling stupid, thinking maybe I'd wear it under a sweater before deciding to cut it into a pinafore top.First, I tried it on. It was so cute that I had my Mom sew up the tear. The stitching is visible on the outside but I think I did a really good job finding thread in a matching color. See photos. I went back & forth over which two colors [posh limits it to two] to categorize this as [orange, red, brown], before settling on red & brown. Brand label unknown/removed sold to me as a Size S, labeled XS See photos for approx. measurements 100% Cotton For reference: I'm 5' 3" & short waisted. Pants are slightly cropped on me; waistline hits lower than my actual waist. For try on photos, I rushed & threw it on over a long sleeve tee I sleep in. But there are a lot of styling possibilities (over a graphic tee, a vintage secretary blouse//button up, a turtleneck). Looks good with a variety of shoes too(slides, combat boots/Docs, Converse, midcalf boots).
