Russian Lacquer Playing Card or Cigarette Box & Stand Artist Signed Vintage

Excellent condition. There are a couple of very very tiny chips to the lacquer (pinhead sized) from where the smaller box was slid into the holder. I'm not 100% sure this piece was made for but it appears to be either for playing cards, cigarettes, or possibly matches. The stand measures 2" tall. The other piece measures 3" tall and together the two measure 3 1/2" tall. The taller box is signed but I can't read the signature.
