This was a family ring that has obvious signs of wear the stone tests as Pink Sapphire/Ruby. I have been told that the metal is gold but it looks more brass to me. This would be a purchase more for the stone itself.

djsbmw730 Is a pink sapphire and ruby the same thing and when you say it looks more brass than gold are there any markings or has ring been tested?

natashamhuff @djsbmw730 hi! Yes the gem tester I bought reads that the stone lands in the sapphire/Ruby range so I’m assuming it’s that since it’s such and old piece. But I’m actually in the process of getting it officially appraised. I will update the listing after the appraisal.
