The zipper detail goes all of the way around the neck, then down the front, all of the way to the bottom. The closure isn't a zipper, though, it has good sized hooks and eyes all the way down the front. The raw edge detail was near impossible to get to show up in the photos, but there are about 1 1/2 inch bands added at the shoulders, and just above the wrists, and there are raw edges on both sides of each. It really is a cool extra detail. The chocolate brown and black are perfect together.
