The pitcher stands nearly 8” tall and is in good condition with no chips and slight wear to the gold trim. The plain ivory porcelain has crazing (spiderweb cracks) that make it look even more antiqued. Marked Royal Winton Grimwades Made In England with a partially worn English registration number. Hand painted in 1951. Shetland.
Pekin chintz is a vintage, Oriental-style ceramic pattern made by Royal Winton in the mid-20th century, typically featuring intricate, colorful motifs like pagodas, bridges, and willows on a black or other colored background, often with gold trim. The design is a chintz style, which means it has an overall floral or scenic transfer design that resembles the patterned fabric of the same name. These pieces from the 1950s are popular with collectors.
This charming black ceramic pitcher features a vibrant design, perfect for enhancing your home decor. Its intricate patterns and bold colors make it a standout piece.
