Haeger Potteries began in 1871 as a brickyard in Dundee, Illinois, founded by David H. Haeger. The company shifted to art pottery in 1914 after hiring J. Martin Stangl, and gained significant fame with the Royal Haeger line in 1938, designed by Royal Hickman. Haeger produced a wide variety of decorative ceramics, including vases, lamps, and figurines, and operated until its closure in 2016 after 145 years in business.
The "Royal Haeger" line, known for its unique glazes and decorative designs, was particularly popular in the mid-20th century.
This specific vase features a brown coloration with a speckled or "honeycomb" glaze effect.
