Royal Copenhagen THULE Series Candlestick Pair.

These timeless candle holders have a geometric design with bright blue glaze on white. The top and bottom rims are unglazed and dark brown giving an interesting contrast and texture. These were designed by Anni Jeppesen in 1962 and the bottom of the candlesticks bears her “AJ” initials as well as the items 3311 product number. There are no cracks or repairs. There is very fine age-related crazing in the white glaze which is common for items of this age. In addition, there are imperfections in the base of the dark rim at the bottom of one candleholder – see photos. Each candleholder is 4 1/8 inches wide, 1 3/8 inches tall and weighs 9 ¼ ounces.
