Rothschild Vintage Gray Wool Double Breasted Princess Coat Womens Large Size 12

This is a GORGEOUS, CLASSY, & extremely flattering coat in very good vintage condition! It is reminiscent of time gone by & is made by a company in the USA that’s been around since 1881! It’s a beautiful dark smoky gray w/ black velvet accents. It’s a wool blend (fabric contents label is sewn in such a way that the exact percentages are cut off - see photo). The princess silhouette has vertical seams running from the arm holes to the bottom hem. Other beautiful details include an insulated liner, shoulder pads, black velvet buttons (extra are provided), velvet & trim detailing on the pockets & collar. The pockets in the front are faux pockets. The bow in the back is also black velvet and it is the ONLY part of the coat that has a little imperfection (see last photo and enlarge). The very top edge of the bow has a little wear. It is hardly noticeable and can be concealed by rolling that edge in and tacking it if needed. Other than that minor detail…the rest of the coat has no signs of wear! I’m 5’6 and the coat falls just about mid calf (for reference). I would encourage you to measure carefully as the sizing on these vintage coats can be very different from sizing today. I’m listing the coat as it is tagged (12 which is typically a women’s large)…HOWEVER this could be a fit for a medium as well. Flat lay measurements are armpit to armpit 18 1/2”, neckline to bottom hem 39”, shoulder to shoulder 16”, sleeve 21 1/2”. Comes from a smoke and pet free home!
