Roman Eagle Brass Perfume Funnel, Victory Wreath of Laurels

One family of Italian silversmiths has spent generations celebrating Italia through their craft. This antique perfume funnel features the Roman Eagle. The An Eagle takes center stage, his wings spread wide, surrounded by a wreath of laurels. This symbol of victory was carried by the Roman Legion as early as the year 107 BC. More than 2000 centuries later, apprentices to the Coppini smithy in Florence would hone their skills making perfume funnels. Each funnel was small, requiring few material resources, but rich in the skills required of a silversmith. In the end, their work was inspected by a master.
