@pontifex_z wait are you like a magical person that can detect fakes out of the screen?

Can you show picture with the serie number with documents Thanks, Rolex adds serial numbers to its watches, but their location changed over time. For vintage models (pre-2005), the serial number is found on the exterior of the case, between the lugs at the 6 o'clock position, requiring the bracelet to be removed. For modern watches (post-2005), the serial number is laser-engraved on the inner bezel (called the rehaut) between the dial and the crystal, visible without removing any parts.

@w4d3 lmao you really want to play that game?
funny, the ones always trying to scam are always so quick to get the most defensive. You know damn well this thing is fake. I can point out 7-8 inconsistencies on these two pictures alone.

@pontifex_z Can you educate me and point out the problems. Thanks!

@phabill Since you asked sure!
Lets start with the most obvious. This account is brand new, and has only 1 “sale”.
Anyway, let’s discuss the watch.
This was is a poor attempt at a Reference 126610LN. The modern submariner date. You can tell because the “Swiss Made” has a crown between the words, where the 116610 Submariner does not. Additionally, the 126610 is 41mm, where the 116610 is 40mm. I used to have a 116610.

1. The case shape is totally wrong. Google a real one and compare side by side.
2. The font on the dial is extremely incorrect. The font is far too think.
3. The magnification on the cyclops is very, very wrong.
4. The crown guards (that protect the crown, or winder) should only be approximately 50% up the length of the crown. In this watch, the crown sticks out WAY too far.

@phabill
5. The hands are off. In a genuine sub, the minute hand is much longer. These are obviously very low quality.
6. The spacing of the letters on the dial again is very poor. 7. The rehaut engraving is visibly of extremely poor quality, and not even the right size or font.
8. The serial number is also incorrect.
9. The finish of the steel is poor and not as soft as it should be.

10. The spacing between the bracelet and lugs is poor.
11. In the second picture of the clasp, those two little knobs sticking out? Those don’t exist on a genuine. The entire bracelet should be flush of any screws.

@phabill
12. The ghost crown at 6 o’clock is way too visible. Every modern rolex as a laser etched crown at 6 o’clock on the crystal. You should not be able to see this with the naked eye. You need to shine a light through the crystal at a very precise angle, or use a loupe to see it.
That’s just what I notice from these two pictures.

@phabill This thing is a $50 chinatown special.
There are a lot of clones on this site, and I don’t go out of my way to shit on those posts. However, actively trying sell a clone, especially one of this awful quality and pass it off as the real thing is disgusting.
Additionally, this watch (the real one, that is) is worth far more than $9,000.
