Post it that came attached to print says Roland Ginzel "Untitled TRUST 2 of 5 Color lithograph on paper 22 inches wide by 30.25 inches tall Will be shipped in rolled tube but is being stored flat until shipping This Abstract Expressionist color lithograph by Roland Ginzel was printed at Four Brothers Press in Chicago. Four Brothers Press was founded by Fred Gude, who had assisted printer Jack Lemon at Landfall Press, and his partner Leslie Wolfe in 1980. Four Brothers Press published and printed for many major Chicago artists who came into their own in the 1980s. The press closed in 1987 with the death of Fred Gude. Roland F. Ginzel was born in Lincoln, Illinois in 1921. His formal art studies began at Lincoln College, followed by enrollment at the Art Institute of Chicago where he earned his B.F.A. with a focus on printmaking in 1948 and received his M.F.A. from the University of Iowa in 1950. His post-graduate studies were at the Slade School of Art in London and at the Academia de Belle Arti in Rome.  Ginzel returned to Chicago in 1951. In 1953, he co-founded the Graphic Art Workshop. Roland Ginzel died in 2021.  His work is in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, Brooklyn Museum, National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Illinois State Museum, and Joslyn Museum of Art.
