The Bourne Deception is the 4th in the Bourne series With permission from the estate of Robert Ludlum, Eric Van Lustbader has continued writing Jason Bourne novels from where Ludlum left off in The Bourne Ultimatum. After Bourne is ambushed & nearly killed while in Indonesia, he fakes his death to take on new identity & mission- to find out who is trying to assassinate him. In the process he begins to question who he really is & what he would become if he no longer carried the Bourne identity.
