Ribbon Knit Jacket with Mink Collar by Projansky c1960s Gorgeous! Fits Sz M-L

Vintage 1950s - 60s evening jacket made in Rayon Ribbon & lined in high quality heavy rayon crepe, trimmed with a real Autumn Haze color mink fur collar. Made entirely by hand by artisans in Hong Kong for Projansky importers of New York. The knitting stitch pattern used throughout creates elaborate loops interspersed with large scale strategically places knitted flowers over the entire surface of the jacket. Then all outer edges are finished with a continuous looped border like a braid. This structure is reminiscent of the famous Chanel design jackets from the same era. It is beautifully made & every loop of ribbon throughout the entire garment has been stitched down by hand so it stays in place! The lining is beautiful as well being made of a weighty rayon crepe and hand rolled & stitched to the inside edges throughout. Style is a boxy cut short jacket with bracelet length sleeves. Sleeves & side seams are pretty - finished with curves at the seam joins. Light brown mink collar. Closes with one hook and eye fastener at the base of collar. I am an accomplished knitter and seamstress and am amazed & very impressed by the techniques used in the construction of these jackets. It is beautifully done handwork by highly skilled knitters and tailors. This jacket has a light brown or Autumn Haze color mink collar that is faced with a peachy brown rayon on the underside. It is hand sewn to the jacket. These collars can be removed when the jacket itself is being dry cleaned
