"Return to Wonderland" is a dark and twisted reimagining of Lewis Carroll's classic Alice in Wonderland series, published by Zenescope Comics in 2007. Written by Raven Gregory, with art by Rich Bonk and Dan Leister, the story shifts focus to Alice Liddle's daughter, Calie Liddle, who unwittingly follows her mother's path into the warped and nightmarish Wonderland. Unlike the whimsical original, this Wonderland is a grotesque, horrific world filled with dangerous creatures and disturbing imagery. The Queen of Hearts, Cheshire Cat, and other familiar characters are re-envisioned as nightmarish figures, adding an element of psychological horror.
