Retro Qing Yue 100% Silk Shanghai Scarf

Qing Yue (Clear Moon) is a painter and photographer. She was born in Macau of an Italian father and a Chinese mother. She has lived in Macau, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Shanghai and presently lives and works between Trieste, Italy and Austria. She is the President of “APA -Art Projects Association” in Trieste. She worked at a UN organization in Trieste as Head of the Art & Culture section. She attended art courses in India, China and Italy and has a master’s degree in Political Sciences at the University of Trieste. Her works and installations talk about her dual roots as she re-elaborates archaic Chinese symbols through the linocut and figurative painting techniques. She uses many types of materials: silk, lurex, wood, velvet, gold and silver leaf, mirrors, etc. Hers is a constant search for the yin/yang balance and harmony which are the ultimate strength of her expression. Her X’ian terracotta soldiers, fish, dragons, phoenix, horses, birds and other animals emphasize her love and respect for nature and for the sea. She has also carried out body art performances with models, transforming them into living “contemporary, but temporary” creations and has participated in fashion shows in Trieste and in Austria with her painted, recycled clothes.
