Retro Green REI Headlamp TESTED

This headlamp looks so cool!! I can just imagine this as a prop in a TV show. This would also be a fun display piece for adventurers. Requires 4 AA batteries. The light is functional. However, the on/off switch requires a bit of force to slide it back and forth. Because of the age of this item and it being stored in the garage, there is a slightly musty scent. The elastic has a bit of stretch, but I can feel some slight cracking of the elastic when I stretch it, so I wouldn’t stretch it out more than is needed. The foam placed where the lamp would touch your forehead is rock hard and is going to leave tiny black specks on your forehead. I would recommend replacing the foam or using a towel or something to cushion your forehead if you are going to wear this headlamp. To remove the battery cover, unscrew the round black part in the middle of the back of the lamp.
