Danish Mid C Modern Designer Brooch circa Mid Century or earlier - Excellent Vintage Condition - Original Patina - Pin Back is in Perfect Working Condition - Ready to Gift and Wear - Carl Lewis Druckman Collection This Brooch may have been part of the first Collection designed called "Future" Stamped: HaH 925S Size: circa 9.7 grams Sterling Silver - circa 2.25" L x .25" W at widest point Danish Silversmith Hans Hansen (1884-1940) trained in the Carl M. Cohrs Silverware Factory in 1903, and worked there until 1906 when he set up his own workshop on the in Kolding on Jutland Peninsula in Denmark. Initially the firm produced flatware but in 1931 Hans Hansen, also started producing jewelry. In 1932 Hansen asked his son Karl Gustav Hansen (B.1914) to design a collection. At this time the production of jewelry started in earnest. Upon his father's death Karl became the artistic director. The Hans Hansen silversmith company is famous for its high-quality modernist designs, which are still popular today. The company was taken over by the Royal Scandinavia Group in 1991, and so merged with Georg Jensen, under which name many Hansen designs are still being produced.
