What’s the difference between this one and the caviar color you are selling?

Hi Montana!
We’d have to compare the black and the caviar to really answer your question, but they each have tags, so it could be they just changed names or that some of the production had a slightly different black cast; we can look and tell you tomorrow, ok?

@shamannuptex sounds good. The pricing is so different so I would love to know if the colors are different

Hi Montana!
Apologies for the delayed reply. The caviar version is made of mercerized cotton & therefore has a subtle sheen. That sheen reflects light, making the color look like a very dark solid charcoal. The black one is a matte cotton which absorbs light, appearing as a deep, rich black. They’re equally refined, just one is brighter and the other is deeper. I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

@shamannuptex is the collar the same shade of black as the rest of the shirt? Didn’t know what contrast collar means

Hi Montana!
Apologies this reply is so delayed!!! There’s no “contrast” in the solid black version of this style. Sometimes brands make contrast collars in some combos but leave white & black versions as solids (without changing the description). Polo style shirts like this are often a fabric combo - the body of this one is a cut and sew fabric knit on flatbed machines which means the fabric is knitted as continuous piece goods then cut using pattern pieces.

( continued… )The collar however is knit like a sweater on full fashion machines which means it’s knit to the exact shape, no cutting needed. The rib knit collar yarn is heavier and so the black color, while the same as the body, looks a little darker due to yarn weight & rib stitch construction. The body yarn is very fine and mercerized for a very refined finish. This is a technical answer but just know the shirt looks solid black, without color contrast.
